From Small Town to Big Dreams
Growing up in Tatamagouche, Terri always had a knack for storytelling and a love for bringing people together. Her passion for communication led her to a successful career in the news media, where she wrote for the renowned Herald. But it was her work on radio that truly made her a household name in Northern Nova Scotia.
Lovin’ Out Loud
Terri’s radio show, “Lovin’ Out Loud,” became a beloved fixture in the community. Focused on love songs and love stories, the show captured the hearts of listeners across Nova Scotia. Terri’s warm and engaging personality shone through the airwaves, creating a loyal following of romantics united by their shared love of love songs. “The universal language of music allows people to bond based on shared experiences,” says Mingo. “When I shared my stories of love and loss, it was inevitable that a listener had experienced the same thing.”
The Birth of FindURKeeper
Drawing from her experience and the countless love stories she encountered, Terri saw a need for a more genuine approach to dating. Frustrated by the superficiality of online dating, she envisioned a service where singles could meet and connect through events designed to create connection. Thus, FindURKeeper was born.
A Mission of Connection
Terri’s vision is simple: to help singles escape the maze of online dating and find real, lasting connections. Terri’s personal love story started when she realized she herself was a keeper and she started to treat herself accordingly. “Love starts at home, a deep place inside yourself that makes you realize you are worthy and have something to offer a partnership. That’s when you’ll confidently step forward and give people the opportunity to get to know the real you.”
